Thank Goodness It's Sunday (in case anyone was wondering)... Since we are working Saturdays now, Sundays are my only day of relaxation, and I am in a much better mood after actually sleeping a significant number of hours, and not waking up to an alarm. Holy cow, was this week ridiculous. I feel kind of like a bug that just keeps getting stepped on over and over again... and you know, if I had the choice, there were a couple points this week where I may have just thrown in the towel and walked away... but it's not a choice, and I can't do that for the sake of other people, so I'm still here and still going.
I have decided that I am not doing anything with the Cabrio until after the inspection. This week showed me that life is enough of an emotional roller coaster right now in the first place, I don't need to be adding to the stress. I had originally thought that the car was one thing I could get done while Martin was gone, but realized that there are more positive things I can do and occupy my mind with. I've spent this morning relaxing on the couch and posting our Rome pictures (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=614366&id=701905001&l=fb046d8214), and it's about time to get busy cleaning again.
As the very observant Amy pointed out last entry, I did change the background on the blog. :) I didn't take the picture, but it reminded me a lot of typical scenery driving through England, so I liked it. It has been pretty gray and cloudy recently (which I guess is good, I haven't felt trapped inside), but there have been a couple clear mornings with beautiful beginnings of sunrises on my drive to work, when the light is first starting to stretch across the sky and change the colors from dark to light blue. That's all for now, there is clean laundry to put away, mail to sort, bathrooms to clean...
Hooray for relaxing Sundays :) We're finally getting to the point where it's getting light again in the mornings (which is good for a multitude of reasons, including the fact that I don't step on any cats on my way out the door...)-- and it makes a huge difference for me to be able to see a little sunshine on my way in to work.
ReplyDeleteI love that the background is like typical England scenery-- So beautiful! ... I definitely want to come visit ;)
